My paintings focus on the moments that happen around us every day, time spent together, growing up, letting go. Whether the scene is quiet or full of movement, it’s always about connection and the feeling of recognising something of your own life in it.
I was born in Huddersfield in 1989 and have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I studied at Leeds College of Art, graduating with a First Class degree in Advertising, which still influences how I think about composition and visual impact.
I started painting more seriously in 2016, and since then my work has appeared in places like the BBC drama Ackley Bridge and a range of commercial projects.
Colour is one of the main ways I shape a painting. I use it to guide the mood from softer, quieter moments to more expressive, energetic ones helping to bring out the sense of connection and emotion within each scene.
I hope you enjoy my works, and if there is anything more you would like to know then please feel free to drop me an email 🙂
